Coronation Street and Emmerdale have been subject to a huge schedule shake-up thanks to the Euro 2024 matches being shown on ITV - and fans aren't happy.

Both ITV soaps were axed on Friday 14 June, and will remain off-air on Monday 17 June while the Austria v France game takes its space. Emmerdale will also stay off-screen as the match also takes up its usual slot as coverage.

It's not all bad news, however, as the soaps will still be televised, and in two-hour showings - so fans won't miss out. Viewers can catch up with a double bill of both Emmerdale and Coronation Street which follow afterwards on Tuesday 18 June.

Official channels for Coronation Street and Emmerdale updated their fans on where they can catch the soaps with a post on social media. They wrote: "Head's up! Here's where to find your dose of the Soaps this week!

And if you can't wait until then, check ITVX at 7am on each morning of transmission to catch that day's episode, but remember, this is a no spoiler zone."

It's a big week in Coronation Street as Toyah Battersby and Nick Tilsley continue to sneak around behind the back of Leanne Battersby - who is still being taken in by a cult.

Also Bethany Platt is tasked with writing an article in support of Corey Brent which leaves Abi Franklin horrified.
