It looks like the future is bright for the couple, who have been nicknamed as ⁘Swarla⁘ by Corrie fans.
Carla and Lisa have recently purchased a house on Coronation Street , making history on the show as the first same sex couple to do so.
At the start of the week, Carla finally attempted to get down on one knee once again after multiple proposal fails, including backing out in the Rovers a fortnight ago.
But Monday's heartfelt gesture came crashing down once again.
This time thanks to David Platt , who was quick to ruin the calm and romantic ambience which had been perfectly created in the garden by Betsy.
However, Betsy came to save the day again during Wednesday's instalment as she helped to arrange the ⁘perfect⁘ moment for her mum and Carla. As the Underworld boss kickstarted her day as normal at the factory , she was soon distracted by the loud noise of sirens coming from outside.
When the sound failed to disappear into the distance, Carla went outside to see what the problem was. To her surprise, her future wife was waiting for her, alongside her friend Ryan.
Dressed in her full detective uniform, Lisa instructed her partner: ⁘Stop in the name of love.⁘ Fans were ⁘sobbing⁘ throughout the intimate moment which saw Lisa get down on one knee with a ring box.
Ryan and Betsy, as well as the factory staff, watched as Lisa and Carla created the perfect moment together to mark their long-awaited proposal. Taking to social media during the episode, one fan wrote: ⁘Sobbing because the Carla Connor is going to have a wife!⁘
