Coronation Street aired suspicious scenes involving Jesse Chadwick on Wednesday night, amid an exit on the ITV soap.
No one is looking for the money anymore, with it believed one of Harvey Gaskell's men had stolen it. But David has had it all along, and now he doesn't know what to do with it.
Amid Carla Connor deciding to put an offer in, David vowed to save his home and stole the money. But now it seems he's realised he cannot use it, as everyone knows he has no money so it'll likely spark suspicion.
With his plans on hold, and hints Carla could be the new owner if the sale goes ahead, David is now keen to splash the cash. But on Wednesday night Jesse had a warning for the character.
David pushed Jesse on their plans to do something with the cash, ready to use it. But Jesse told him not to touch it, saying it was too soon to spend it.
Claiming it would spark suspicion, Jesse warned David they had to wait a bit longer. David seemed baffled, reminding Jesse he had told him he'd have a plan and they could use the cash.
