British Actress Sheridan Smith Looks Unrecognisable After Debuting New Look

TV fans were left in shock this week, when one beloved British actress debuted a brand new look - leaving her looking worlds away from her usual image. The Castaways actress, Sheridan Smith is typically known for her swept back locks, but the 43 year old actress looked virtually unrecognisable on social media after revealing she had cut her hair into a heavy fringed style.

Sheridan first debuted her brunette locks earlier this year on The One Show , however the inclusion of her brand new bangs, completely altered the star's look and added a fresh new take on her 'grown-up' style.

Later this year, Sheridan could be set to reprise her role in Gavin and Stacey's long awaited return for the Christmas special, with many fans hoping that the popular actress will once again be returning to play Smithy's sister Rudi. So far, no official confirmation has been given about whether Sheridan will be reprising her role, alongside show stars James Corden, Matthew Horne, Joanna Page, Larry Lamb and Alison Steadman.

The insider added: ⁘[Sheridan] did not appear in the Christmas Special because her character was not part of that storyline, but it has been a different story this time around. Everyone is very excited about this episode - it is going to be a phenomenal last hurrah for the series, which is exactly what it deserves.

"Sheridan and James are still friendly - they recently bumped into each other at the Variety Club Awards and got on really well. So the hope is that she will be able to be part of it."

Gavin and Stacey originally aired from 2007 to 2010 and previously filmed a Christmas special in 2008. However, a new Christmas finale episode to round off the series is due to hit our screens later this year.
