Claire Sweeney has shared the pain she is in with a health condition as she asked her followers for help. The actress, who joined Coronation Street as Cassie Plummer last year, has been a hit with fans since she arrived on the long-running ITV show.

Sharing a photo on Instagram, Claire said: ⁘Having the worst flair up on my skin with my peri oral dermatitis. Please does anyone know a magic cure. It's so sore!⁘ [sic]

According to the British Association of Dermatologists, peri-oral dermatitis causes persistent redness or small bumps around the mouth and nose, and is usually treated with steroid creams.
