Emmerdale 's William Ash, who plays Caleb Milligan, the long-lost brother of Cain (Jeff Hordley) and Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter), had a stint on rival soap Coronation Street 20 years ago.
Johnny was a young criminal who robbed the Post Office and attempted to escape with the cash. He encountered Rita Sullivan (Barbara Knox), Emily Bishop, Blanche Hunt and Betty Williams, who were lost on a country road.
In 2002, the 47-year-old actor announced his return to the world of soaps, this time joining Emmerdale .
" Emmerdale is packed full of fantastic actors and I'm really looking forward to working alongside them," he said. "Caleb is a fantastically complex character and I can't wait to get stuck in."
In upcoming scenes, Caleb and Ruby Milligan (Beth Cordingly) are left heartbroken as doctors cannot bring Nicky out of his coma.
