It's no secret that Americans love steak. After all, people in the United States consume an average of 264 pounds of meat per year — of which 67 are comprised of beef.
No steak may be as representative of Brazil as the picanha brasileira. Not only was it voted the second-best food in the entire world by one 2023 survey, but it is also the favorite cut of steak in a country that produces 9.85 million tons of bovine meat per year.
