The ITV schedule has undergone a shake-up, affecting the broadcast of Coronation Street. A new pattern, dubbed "Soap Power Hour," was introduced last month, featuring 30-minute episodes of Emmerdale at 8:00 pm, followed by 30-minute episodes of Coronation Street at 8:30 pm, Monday through Friday. This week, however, Coronation Street's schedule has been altered.
On Tuesday, February 3, ITV 1 will air the Carabao Cup semi-final second leg between Arsenal and Chelsea, preempting Coronation Street's usual time slot. On Thursday, February 5, coverage of the Six Nations _ will replace Coronation Street's scheduled episode. Fans have expressed disappointment with the changes, taking to social media to voice their concerns.
Some have lamented the lack of Coronation Street episodes on days when sports events are broadcast, while others have bemoaned the constant shifting of the show's schedule. The altered schedule for Coronation Street this week on ITV 1 is as follows: - Monday, February 2: 8:30 pm
- Tuesday, February 3: No episode (Carabao Cup semi-final second leg)
- Wednesday, February 4: 8:30
Last month a new scheduling pattern was launched for both Coronation Street and Emmerdale which was named: Soap Power Hour.Related perspectives: Visit website
