Daniel, the actor behind Billy on Coronation Street, has undergone a significant transformation since his early days in Hollywood. A fan favourite, he looked unrecognisable in the 1998 Oscar-winning film Shakespeare In Love. According to the Daily Mirror, Daniel appeared on Love Your Weekend with Alan Titchmarsh, where he discussed his Coronation Street journey and upcoming exit.
During the interview, a scene from Shakespeare In Love was shown, featuring Daniel alongside Gwyneth Paltrow. The film, which won seven Oscars, three BAFTAS, and three Golden Globes, starred Joseph Fiennes as William Shakespeare. Daniel won a Screen Actors Guild Award for his role as Sam Gosse. Reflecting on his experience filming Shakespeare In Love, Daniel expressed his pride in being part of such an incredible cast.
He was only 18 when filming began and admitted that he "didn't realise how big that movie was going to be" at the time.
