Matthew Morrison Hints At EastEnders Return

Matthew Morrison, the actor who brought Felix Baker to ___ in the BBC soap EastEnders, has hinted that he would consider reprising his role if the opportunity arose. In an exclusive interview with Soap Scoop, the weekly podcast from Inside Soap magazine, Morrison expressed his affection for the show and its setting.

Albert Square, he said, was "a gorgeous place" that would "forever hold a place in my heart." Morrison's portrayal of Felix, EastEnders' first regular drag queen character, made soap history when it aired in 2022. Through his glamorous drag persona Tara Misu, Felix charmed audiences and left a lasting impression. Although his exit from the show was dramatic, with his relationship with Johnny ending in a messy breakup, Morrison has fond memories of his time on set.

He praised co-star Charlie Suff, who plays Johnny, as "such a giving actor and such a nice person to be around." As for his current projects, Morrison is starring in a new production of the play Blue → Orange at the Greenwich Theatre, alongside former Corrie villain John Mitchie. The play, which runs until Saturday, October 25, has Morrison playing the role of Christopher.
