Louis Emerick, a seasoned actor, recently shared his experience working on the popular Channel 4 drama, Hollyoaks. He portrayed detective Donny Clark, but his claim to fame came from playing Mick Johnson in the long-running soap, Brookside, for 12 years. In a surprising turn of events, Hollyoaks' executive producer, Hannah Cheers, revealed plans for a special crossover episode with Brookside to celebrate Hollyoaks' 30th anniversary.
This instalment was set to air on October 22. Louis Emerick hinted at the excitement that viewers could expect from the episode. The storyline involves Froggy Black, a character played by John Middleton, who has recently arrived in Hollyoaks and is causing trouble for Donny Clark. Louis Emerick teased that Froggy knows a significant secret that Donny has been hiding, and this will be connected to the Brookside crossover.
When Hannah Cheers initially briefed the cast about the crossover earlier this year, Louis Emerick thought he was being let go. He recalled meeting Hannah Cheers in a park, where she explained the story, and he assumed he was receiving his P45.
