
Lacey explained to fans that the role was only meant to be a short stint for her, although she actually ended up staying in the part for more than a decade, but it will all be over for her in the coming days, as her exit scenes will air next week.
Taking to Instagram , she told her fans: ⁘Next week will be the End of My Hollyoaks Era. “What started as a six-month role turned into an unforgettable eight-year journey, and I couldn't be more grateful.
The starlet then thanked her co-stars for their support over the years, as well those who mentored her at The Drama Mob drama school, and didn't forget to mention ex-Hollyoaks producer boss Bryan Kirkwood and the casting directors.
She said: ⁘ Nick Pickard and Alex Fletcher – for your patience, guidance, love and overall warmth on set, your support has been invaluable.
“Ela-May – for becoming my role model from our first meet in the underage green room. Isla, KK, Will, Ava and so many more special young actors we have had the pleasure of meeting along this journey – for truly genuine friendships. Ross, Lauren, JP, Eva and Parry – Team Hutch/Drinkwell forever.⁘
Finally, Lacey, who previously appeared in The Sisters and Sleepy Hallows, thanked the fans of the show for their support of the serial as well. The Viewers for supporting Lacey along the way and for falling in love with little Dee Dee during her Encephalitis journey.
