HOLLYOAKS has quietly recast a character as he gets set for a soap return after a year off screen. 

The youngster confirmed the news with a photo on his social media , grinning away while pointing towards 'Hollyoaks High School.'

Sebastien wrote: "I can finally announce that I've got into my first choice school for September- Hollyoaks High School 😄… and also that I'm now playing the role of Daniel Lomax on @hollyoaksofficial - catch me on @e4grams ." 

Fans were absolutely thrilled to hear the news, and wished the young actor the best of luck in his new role.

Before Sebastien stepped into the role, Daniel was played by Kyzo-Dre Murphy in 2017-2020, and 2023-2024.

The Chester-based soap is pulling out all the stops for its milestone year, with bosses promising some of the most dramatic storylines in its history .

But it's not all bad news, as two familiar faces from the show's early days are making a surprise comeback three decades later.

Producers are keeping tight-lipped on the finer details, but teased that the anniversary will be packed with nostalgia, shock twists and plenty of drama that long-time viewers won't want to miss.
