Emmerdale's Lawrence Robb revealed a filming detail about Mackenzie Boyd's long-awaited flashforward scene.
The actor plays Mackenzie Boyd in the Yorkshire-based soap and made his debut back in 2020. Over the last five years, viewers watched as his relationship with Charity Dingle almost implodes after his infidelity.
Now as he reaches his five-year anniversary in the Dales, rumours started circling that he was set to leave Emmerdale at the hands of John Sugden.
While Emmerdale themselves have not confirmed the speculation, Lawrence shared: ⁘Rumours they shall remain⁘.
The actor then joked that Emmerdale is ⁘the most dangerous village in the country⁘ and when it comes to future storylines, he teased: ⁘There's a lot of stuff coming, I've really enjoyed filming it.⁘
Wednesday's episode ended with Mackenzie looking in one of John's scrapbooks and seeing a photograph.
As the penny started to drop for Mackenzie the episode ended on a cliffhanger.
He revealed: ⁘The flashback scene was filmed last October and at the time we didn't know when it was going to play out within 2025 - so just in case there could be a future issue with hair continuity - as potentially I could have grown a mullet by the end of the year - we decided to stick a beanie hat on Mack.
⁘But this choice didn't help with the heat as this time we were filming this episode in the height of summer.
And for all the filming I had to have this beanie on. So I was very, very warm.⁘
