Derry Girls actress Saoirse-Monica Jackson wed her longtime beau, DJ Denis Sulta, in a Celtic-inspired wedding in Ireland over the weekend
The Derry Girls actress, 31, married Scottish DJ Denis Sulta (real name Hector Barbour) in a three-day celebration in Ireland over the weekend.
The couple, who said their ⁘I dos⁘ in front of 160 guests at Dromquinna Manor in County Kerry, first met during the Covid-19 pandemic before Barbour popped the question during a beach getaway years later, according to British Vogue .
They paid homage to their Celtic background with Irish music and an Irish storyteller.
Their festivities were also sprinkled with kilts and Guinness beer.
⁘We wanted both of our cultures and our families and friends to be at the center of it," Jackson told the outlet.
Their mission was accomplished thanks to Jackson's modern wedding ensemble: an Annie Ibiza-designed mini skirt featuring lace trim and a stunning train.
Her corset-esque top included embellished puffy short sleeves and was completed with a Celtic brooch, a subtle tribute to her mother. Her top, a reversible piece with tartan on the inside, also saluted her new mother-in-law's gown.
Jackson's look was inspired by a Dior design she previously spotted on the runway, and a look from Ibiza that Zendaya once wore.
The actress completed her bridal look, which she described as ⁘Celtic warrior princess,⁘ with Eily O'Connell bespoke emerald jewelry that matched her bridesmaids' green Rat ⁘ Boa dresses and pointed-toe platform ankle-strap heels.
Her hairstylist, Tim Havern, curled her custom blonde extensions and styled them in a soft half-ponytail with side bangs.
Makeup artist Robyn Wheeler gave Jackson the perfect minimal face she was going for.
