The BBC has set fans' hearts racing with a fresh EastEnders trailer, confirming the comeback of two iconic characters.

Exiting off screen, it was revealed that she had jetted off to visit Michelle Fowler in Australia, grappling with the aftermath of Martin 's demise.

Now, an exclusive trailer has verified that Sharon will be back on our screens shortly, along with Zoe Slater (Michelle Ryan).

Zoe made a surprising reappearance on the soap earlier this year during Ben Wadey's first episode, but hastily escaped to Barcelona following a close encounter with her mum Kat.

Midway through, a brief clip of Sharon sheltering under an umbrella with Patrick is shown, followed by another of Freddie and Stacey sharing a laugh together.

The drama escalates towards the end of the teaser, as Kat and Zoe finally meet eye to eye - leaving Kat visibly taken aback.
