During the latest instalment of the hit ITV soap, James did not shy away from showing his anger towards Dee Dee and was reluctant to join the family breakfast organised by Ed.
Later in the episode, Dee Dee rushed off to work and left Laila with James. Meanwhile, he started to pack his bags and prepared to go to the airport, as he pulled Laila in for a final cuddle.
Oblivious to James' plans to leave the street, Dee Dee ran into Billy at Roy's Rolls who informed her that he saw James with his suitcases on the street.
Moments before she called the police, Michael walked around the kitchen corner holding Laila in his arms. He said that James had left for the airport to make a new start.
Later in episode , James returned to the house after accidentally packing Laila's blanket in his suitcase. He told his family: ⁘I don't want to leave full stop but what's the alternative?⁘
