CORONATION Street fans have demanded to know the whereabouts of 'missing' sets - including one not seen in 11 years.

One penned: ⁘According to the Corrie wiki, the inside of the kebab shop flat (18a Victoria Street) was last seen in 2019!⁘

While another shared: ⁘Its definitely lazy to have the kabin interior off screen for so long as well as regular residents flats.⁘

Earlier this year, ITV announced from January 2026, Corrie and Emmerdale will be reduced to five 30-minute episodes per week , rather than six, resulting in a one-hour reduction in soap content on the channel.

Bosses attempted to spin the new streamlined output by branding the new soap schedule as ITV's new "Power Hour", with Emmerdale airing at 8pm followed by Coronation Street at 8:30pm, Monday to Friday.

A TV insider previously told The Sun: "After the Daytime announcement, the big feeling within the soap departments at ITV is the cost-cutting focus will shift to them.

"There's been some seismic changes already over the past year in regards to penny pinching and many believe that's just the start.

This means that a number of stars have either been axed from or have abandoned the long-running serial drama.

The character of Craig Tinker has been axed by bosses after 14 years . After he was told of the news in Autumn 2024, Colson Smith confirmed that would be written out of the show with scenes to air later this year. Craig's on-screen mum, Beth Tinker, also left the show in the summer when actress  Lisa George  was written out from the role.
