Katy Cavanagh (who played the role of Julie Carp) says she wants closure for her character and is excited to be making a return.
Sue said she was leaving her character (Eileen Grimshaw) so that she could spread her wings and try new things.
Ahead of her final scenes, Eileen will reunite with her sister Julie. As the pair catch up, Julie will be welcomed back with open arms by her sibling.
According to the Metro , Katy said of her return: "It was really lovely to get the call," adding: "It is something I haven't thought about for many years. And I'm very fond of Julie, so it was a good feeling.
"It also felt good to be asked to be part of Eileen's departure story it is perfect to come and have some closure on Julie and Eileen.
The Coronation Street star explained: "It's a lot of fun to play her and to be a glass half full person.
