The series features One Day's Leo Woodall as Edward Brooks, a brilliant Cambridge mathematician whose interest in prime numbers turns him into a threat to forces he could never have imagined.
The eight-parter will see Edward travelling across the globe in search of the truth as well as fleeing from hidden forces hot on his heels.
Other cast members include Martha Plimpton as Jane Torres, Quintessa Swindell as Taylah Sanders, Jason Flemyng as Stephen Patrick Nield, Harry Lloyd as Andrew Carter, Ali Suliman as Dr. Akram Nizar, Fra Fee as Adam Mellor, and Joseph Mydell as Professor Raymond Osborne.
Prime Target audiences may also be curious about some of the more minor and supporting characters in the show, including Edward's fellow student and dorm mate Fiona Carey.
Fiona is portrayed by British actress Daisy Waterstone, who is perhaps best known for her portrayal of Margo Durrell in ITV 's family drama The Durrells.
The 30-year-old star appeared in the show between 2016 and 2019, starring opposite Keeley Hawes, Callum Woodhouse and Josh O'Connor.
Along with The Durrells, Waterstone also appeared in the films Testament of Youth, Cyberbully and The Eternal Moment.
