Show bosses recently revealed that a half-hour edition will be broadcast on New Year's Eve this year, airing from 7.45 pm.

It's an episode that viewers won't want to miss, as among the regular drama from the village, five flashforward scenes will air.

These will briefly jump to significant points in the future, leaving fans to guess what the scenes mean and how they'll affect the fates of some fan-favourite characters.

Further details are being kept under wraps for now, but the episode will air as part of a busy Christmas and New Year period for the show.
