As the cold weather creeps in, tucking into a cheeky takeaway becomes more frequent for some and with the fifth annual Uber Eats Cravings Report, a snapshot into what the most popular food delivery request in UK is revealed.
This brand-new list of the top 12 restaurants has been revealed with the finalists competing for the ultimate title of Restaurant of the Year.
The popular food delivery platform has approximately 890,000 restaurants on its books but has included 130 of them from across the UK and Ireland who were the most popular.
This was then whittled down to just 12 finalists with the task of finding the ultimate restaurant in the hands of Andi Oliver, Great British Menu host, Kieran Monlouis, street food connoisseur and last year's winner, Josh Kleiner from Sandwich Sandwich.
And it would seem that burger joints were certainly the meals most favoured with an impressive three restaurants featured in the top 12.
Among the three of the best burgers, Junglees in London was found to be a firm favourite thanks to its popular £10.99 smash burger.
Meanwhile, fried chicken shops were also a big hit with two in Whitechapel, Liverpool and Nottingham, being selected.
The Nashville Cluck's irresistible £8.49 crispy buttermilk tenders was a big factor to the fried chicken craze.
The winner of the sought-after title will be crowned in London on November 14 with the number one restaurant of the year bagging themselves a sweet £100,000 prize to be used to help invest into their business.
