With a wealth of festivities all falling in October, from Halloween to Diwali, Oktoberfest is not to be forgotten.

Despite it's name, Oktoberfest is typically celebrated in late September and ends in the first week of October. Us Brits don't do beer by half pints though, so of course there are plenty of Oktoberfest celebrations still happening throughout October for you to get your Bavarian beer fix in, without having to fork out for the flight to Munich .

Having recently opened its doors to the public, Albert's Schloss is the perfect place to get your oompah on this Oktoberfest season. The venue is the only one in the capital to serve all six of Munich's traditional Oktoberfest beers, so head on down while you still can, as there's no entry fee and no tickets needed!

For the foodies among us, the Oktoberfest offerings at the German Gymnasium in King's Cross are not ones to miss. Indulge in roast pork, braised beef, and Brotzeit Teller (the German answer to a charcuterie board) - not forgetting the pretzels!

An iconic London beer hall, Bermondsey Bierkeller is pulling out all the stops this October. Their oompah band is live every night from 7:30pm and they are even offering Bottomless Bavarian Brunches on Saturday afternoons! This place is more than just a place for a good pint, you and your friends better be ready for a night of fire eaters, live music, dancers and jugglers.

Flat Iron Square is known for its variety of tasty food vendors offering global dishes. It's only right then that they celebrate traditional German flavours with soft pretzels, bratwurst, currywurst and more Bavarian specials. With only two Saturdays dedicated to the Munich festival, I'd grab your tickets before they're gone!
