The Naval Submarine League announced that Jacob Moreau , top Carpenter, Linesman and Instructor at General Dynamics Electric Boat , will receive an NSL Workforce Stars Award. The annual award recognizes trades personnel who have been identified and selected as exemplary contributors to the industrial support infrastructure for the construction, maintenance, or repair of U. S. submarines.
Moreau will be presented with this award on Nov. 14 at the Naval Submarine League Annual Symposium and Industry Update in Arlington, Va. Moreau is being recognized for his work ethic and outstanding attention to detail in the Carpenter Department. He began his career at EB in September 2016, working on the installation of an exterior coating for submarines to help ensure U.S. boats are quieter than their potential foes, creating a combat advantage.
