A top British actress has confessed to their secret role in the Oasis reunion after the rock band announced their groundbreaking tour earlier this week.

However Line Of Duty star Vicky McClure had inside intel on the highly-anticipated news as she revealed she was the voiceover for the video announcement.

In a promotional video for the upcoming summer tour dates, which go on sale on Saturday morning, it is Vicky's voice which announces the locations.

Taking to Twitter to share the news, she wrote: 'The coolest secret I've ever kept! Thanks for the gig @NoelGallagher @liamgallagher @oasis'.

Fans were left baffled by Vicky's ability to keep such a huge secret as they took to the comments section to express their shock.

They wrote: 'I bet it was really hard to do this voice over and not half break into a squeal of excitement each time!'; 'I doubt I'd have been able.'
