Hollyoaks star Lucy-Jo Hudson shared an emotional post over the weekend, revealing she's been struggling after a tough week.

Candidly reflecting on the trials of motherhood on Sunday, Lucy-Jo told her fans on Instagram that Carter's behaviour has been challenging lately. Sharing a picture of herself smiling and another crying, she wrote: 'This is me and this is also me.

⁘I don't usually post things like this... But when I mentioned my 'emotional' week on my stories, I received so many messages from you all saying how much you can relate. This week has been hard, I've really not coped well... I've had a lot of work on, followed by a lot of sleepless nights (with Carter not being 100%) that has then led to him being really challenging.⁘

The mum-of-two continued: ⁘And there's a lot of times that I've been able to cope with him and his behaviour, but this week... it just broke me. Being a parent is the most rewarding job in the world , but also one of the hardest. It's ok to have a cry, it's ok to not cope, we're human and all have limits... and being a working mum in today's world is tough.
