Needing to hide her pregnancy symptoms, Belle pretends to be ill in front of Tom and Mandy. She later heads to the GP surgery and speaks to Wendy, but she feels apprehensive about her options.
Tom is annoyed when Cain questions why he sold Belle's car without speaking to him about it first. Tom blames Belle for Cain's attitude and accuses her of bad-mouthing him.
Tom's demeanour immediately changes as he celebrates the news and promises to be a better husband from now on, but Belle isn't sure whether to believe him.
Belle tells Tom that she wants to keep their pregnancy news secret for now. However, Tom ignores this by telling Rhona and it's not long before word gets back to Jimmy too.
Belle is disappointed that Tom couldn't respect her wishes, but he talks her round and she eventually agrees that they might as well tell their other family and friends too.
Tom continues to lock Belle in their house while he's out. Belle leaves some food to cook on the hob and heads off for a nap with Piper the dog.
