Former Corrie favourite Debbie Rush, known for her role as Anna Windass, and Karen Henthorn, who starred in the soap from 2007 until 2010, are also among the cast.
It's a real delight for soap fans, as former Emmerdale star Tom Lister, who played Carl King in the rival soap, appears as Nick Goodheart in the new programme also.
Matilda once shared that her role on Coronation Street felt a bit restrictive. She explained to her fans that she left "to be able to work on other shows/films/projects". She said: "When you work at Corrie you're under a contract which means you can't work on anything else while you're there so it was quite limiting."
