Hollyoaks has yet to announce who is leaving and who has been written out, or when we might see them leave. Amid a handful of cast members already leaving or announcing their exits prior to the announcement, it was revealed that most of the exits will likely happen offscreen and be confirmed in the time jump.
Of course the plot twist itself can spark a number of big new storylines for the show, with far less characters taking centre stage. It will also be a good way to tie up plots and characters who are leaving, without having to air 20 or less different exit scenes.
