He added that it didn't take much convincing for him to return for a brief cameo, calling the soap "a second home" and the cast and crew his "family".
"When they said, 'Do you fancy coming back for a few episodes?' I didn't even say, 'Well how are you going to make that work?' I said, 'Of course I will. It will be lovely to see everyone again!'" he recalled.
