Within the 10,000 square feet of retail space at Community Kindness thrift store in downtown La Grande, every piece of donated clothing has been steamed. Every stuffed animal has been washed. Every toy tested. Every game piece counted.
It also might be the only place in town where shoppers can buy Jammie Dodgers biscuits and Ambrosia Devon Custard, or pose with a photo backdrop of Big Ben.
