The Walkmen to finally return to UK this summer with new London shows

The Walkmen have announced their return to the UK this year with some new London shows – check out the dates below.

The band, who surprised fans late last year with news that they would be reuniting for the first time in decade, will play two headline shows at London’s KOKO this August .

London has lowest prevalence of Covid in UK with 1 in 90 infected | Evening Standard

A total of 1.1 million people in private households in the UK were likely to have had Covid-19 in the week ending January 17, down 39% from 1.8 million the previous week, according to the Office for National Statistics (ONS).

Prevalence of Covid-19 is lowest in England, with around one in 60 people estimated to have the virus. In London the ratio is one in 90 people - the lowest of any UK region.

UK Regional Flybe Cancels All Flights After Entering Administration | Aviation Week Network

LONDON—UK-based regional carrier Flybe has ceased trading and canceled all flights effective Jan. 28 after entering administration.

The all-De Havilland Canada Dash 8-400 operator, which relaunched in April 2022, had been serving 10 airports in the UK as well as international destinations Amsterdam and Geneva.

UK's Hunt Says HS2 Rail Line Will End in Central London - BNN Bloomberg

(Bloomberg) -- UK Chancellor of the Exchequer Jeremy Hunt said the government's flagship high-speed rail line will extend into central London, dismissing a report that it would end in the suburbs to cut costs.

"I don't see any conceivable circumstances in which that would not end up at Euston," Hunt told BBC News after making a speech at Bloomberg's European headquarters in London.

Wizz Air Cuts 8 More Routes From London Gatwick & Luton

Wizz Air will end a further eight London routes : Gatwick to Chania, Funchal (Madeira), Tenerife South, and Luton to Keflavik, Malaga, Ohrid, Olsztyn-Mazury (which serves the fantastic thousand lakes area of Poland), and Palanga.

This builds on ten other routes from the UK capital that have already been disclosed as ending: Gatwick to Bari, Palma, Varna, and Luton to Castellón, Funchal, Gran Canaria, Porto, Rzeszów, Sarajevo, and Tenerife South.
