However, at the age of 18, Sarah began to consider performance instead and won a place at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. It was here that her interest in acting was born - but she would have to fight for her first few roles.
Sarah was at first rejected by a number of theatre companies, though she would eventually be offered her first two roles in plays for the Manchester Library Theatre Company. By 1987, she was making a brief appearance in Coronation Street as Wendy Farmer, a prospective lodger of Jack Duckworth.
Queen's Brian May Knighted in British Honors List
Brian May was named a Knight Bachelor in the first New Year’s Honors List published by British monarch King Charles III.
The elevation means the Queen guitarist is entitled to the honorific “Sir Brian May” or, when with his wife, actress Anita Dobson, the couple should be called “Sir Brian and Lady May.” He’d previously been given a C.B.E.
