Over the years in EastEnders there have been numerous characters played by different actors as they age from children to teenagers and then into adults. One of those is Martin Fowler, one of the original characters in the show back in 1985, played by Jon Peyton Price.
As a result of his popularity a return was always rumoured and hotly anticipated by followers of the show, but the move never came to fruition, James turning down the BBC's final approach in 2014 before they re-cast Martin with his most recent portrayal by James Bye.
