While the pandemic isolated people around the country, it pulled shop owners in Earlsfield, Wandsworth, closer together, strengthening their bond as they navigated a tumultuous time for business, writes Ella Kipling.
Their idea? A series of pop-ups over the next two months, which will see high street shops sharing their space with home-run small businesses.
New London recognized for its sustainability efforts
New London ― The city is one of 24 municipalities to earn certification in 2022 from Sustainable CT, a statewide initiative that inspires and supports communities in becoming more efficient, resilient, and inclusive.
"This recognition belongs to our city hall staff and the volunteers who helped with many of the projects that led to our certification," said Mayor Michael Passero in the release.

Karaca, a global homeware retailer based in Turkey and operating over 375 dedicated stores and more than 1,100 concessions across three continents, will be opening its first UK store in London.
Launching in London's Islington Square on November 24, the mixed-use destination from privately held investment firm Cain International, the retailer aims to continue its commitment to providing "high-quality, innovative, and inspiring" homeware products.

New York-based firm HWKN will create 18,200 square meters of urban development in the commercial quarter of the new Canada Water regeneration plan.
The Canada Water Masterplan will transform a total of 215,000 square meters and is expected to deliver up to 3,000 new homes, 280,000 square meters of workspace, and community space in central-south London .
