LONDON, Oct 6 (Reuters) - British shoppers are stockpiling thermal underwear, gloves and dressing gowns to help them fight the cold this winter as they try to avoid turning up the thermostat to save money.
Sales of hooded blankets, onesies, thermals, dressing gowns and slippers have soared in recent weeks according to John Lewis, Britain's biggest department store chain.

LONDON, Oct 7 (Reuters) - British households' expectations for average inflation over the next five to 10 years eased to 4.3% in September, but still above the Bank of England's 2% inflation target, a monthly survey from Citi and YouGov showed on Friday.
Public expectations for inflation over the coming 12 months remained more stable at 6.2%, Citi said.

Producer prices jumped in the eurozone in August, official data showed on Tuesday, as energy costs mounted.
According to Eurostat , the European Union's statistical office, industrial producer prices rose 5.0% in August compared with July, and by 4.9% across the wider bloc. In July, prices jumped 4.0% in the eurozone and 3.7% in the EU.
