Has rule-breaker Boris Johnson met his match in 'partygate'? - ABC News

"Sometimes he's been caught out, but mostly he's got away with it," Fielding added. "Now the reality is becoming more apparent to more and more people."

That persona made Johnson a popular guest on the humorous TV show "Have I Got News for You" from the late 1990s onwards, and brought him global fame as London's boosterish mayor between 2008 and 2016.

Douglas Ross has also demanded that Boris should resign, which led to the repellent Jacob Rees-Mogg dismissing the Scottish Tory leader as a "lightweight", which only goes to show how out-of-touch these people are.

PETER HITCHENS: Who is Labour's hero?

Who wants to pull Al Johnson down, and why? I'm no friend of the Prime Minister and would gladly have seen him fall in March 2020 when he launched his Maoist plan to close the country, trash our liberty and wreck the economy.

It is only now, when Johnson has finally stood up to the panic-mongers and begun to liberate the country, that the leaks have come.

Why 'anti-Boris Johnson' Mark Drakeford is popular in Wales | The National Wales

An untidy appearance and affable demeanour masks Mark Drakeford's more clinical streak, says Theo Davies-Lewis Picture: Huw Evans Agency

There is some truth to this; the first minister is more likely to hover over a cheese board rather than a bucket of wine. But he has also said any lockdown gatherings would have been viewed in a "very dim" fashion if they happened on Welsh government property.
