Another remarked the resemblance and character traits between Stephanie and Kim, saying, "They do look very similar! And same ruthless behaviour too, you might be onto something! Stacey Slater ( Lacey Turner ) is forced to pick sides in EastEnders this week – when her former bestie Ruby Allen ( Louisa Lytton ) returns with big news for Martin Fowler (James Bye).

Things are undoubtedly bound to be sour between the trio, given three years ago, Ruby was sent to prison when  Jean Slater  ( Gillian Wright ) framed her for growing a cannabis farm.

Upon her exit,  Ruby was adamant  that she was pregnant with ex-husband Martin's baby, though he didn't believe her.

In upcoming scenes, his world comes crashing down around him when he learns that she was indeed telling the truth!

It's  Sharon Watts  ( Letitia Dean ) who has sat on the news since September, when she was shacked up in jail with her former step-mum Chrissie Watts (Tracy-Ann Oberman), who revealed that she had briefly shared a cell with Ruby.

Martin certainly has bigger fish to fry at the moment – or at least he thinks – as the Bridge Street Market is under threat of closure and the Square Gardens could be redeveloped into parking.

After building up to courage to come clean, Sharon tells him what she heard but believes it's just another example of Chrissie's meddling.

In an ever-changing economic landscape, small businesses in London face significant challenges. Issues like Brexit, rising inflation, and global supply chain disruptions have led to significant economic uncertainty. This puts even the most resilient enterprises at risk of failure, which is why a lot of small businesses don't end up being successful. To avoid this, companies must incorporate a number of small business strategies into their operations. Let's go over some of the key approaches that can help small business owners thrive in this ever-competitive world.

One of the first steps for small businesses in London to navigate economic uncertainty is implementing effective risk management strategies. This involves identifying potential threats from various factors, such as:

Local café owner Sophie Thomas, for instance, experienced challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic due to supply chain issues. By diversifying her suppliers and building stronger relationships with local producers, she minimized future risks and ensured business continuity. The same can be said about the entertainment industry, such as gambling operators listed on https://ferovakasina.com/energy-casino/ that offer iGaming services online to reach a wider audience as opposed to being tied down by geographical limitations.

A well-managed supply chain is critical to resilience in uncertain times. For many London-based small businesses, supply chain disruptions can be devastating. Companies should evaluate their supply chains to identify vulnerabilities and seek alternatives. By sourcing materials from a variety of suppliers and regions, businesses can avoid over-reliance on a single source and ensure the flow of goods. Additionally, leveraging technology to monitor and optimize supply chains can improve efficiency and reduce costs.

One of the biggest challenges for small businesses during economic downturns is maintaining healthy cash flow. Monitoring cash flow closely allows businesses to identify potential shortfalls early and adjust spending. Here are some ways to do so:

UK Grocery Sales Growth Slows As Consumers Wait For Christmas And Black Friday, Says NIQ | Cyprus...

British grocery sales growth slowed over the last month as shoppers held back spending in anticipation of upcoming Christmas festivities and Black Friday promotions, industry data showed this week.

Market researcher NIQ said UK supermarket sales rose 4.0 per cent in the four weeks to Nov. 2 year-on-year, having been up 4.7 per cent in the previous month.

"Shoppers so far have been cautious and it's evident that they are saving on grocery essentials to be able to afford treats and indulgences," Mike Watkins, NIQ's UK head of retailer and business insight, said.

He noted the UK has "a polarised consumer", with 50 per cent of households continuing to feel pressure on personal finances.

NIQ said sales of general merchandise fell 1.4 per cent in value terms, with volume sales down 5.5 per cent.

Echoing data this week from rival market researcher Kantar, NIQ said Britain's fastest growing grocers were online player Ocado (OCDO.L) and discounter Lidl, with growth over the 12 weeks to Nov. 2 of 16.1 per cent and 11.9 per cent respectively.

The researcher said Marks ⁘ Spencer (MKS.L) took third place with growth of 11.4 per cent, while market leader Tesco (TSCO.L), up 4.7 per cent, and No. 2 Sainsbury's (SBRY.L), up 4.6 per cent, also gained market share.

Last week, Asda chairman Stuart Rose said the grocer had "lost the plot" but the business was fixable.

'London-style' Buses To Be Delivered Nationwide With

Almost £1bn in funding will go to delivering London-style buses nationwide as part of a massive Budget boost, the government has promised.

The Department for Transport (DfT) has given more details on its plans for 2025 after announcing the funding last month.

It has promised to deliver what it calls ⁘London-style⁘ services to every corner of the country, and said funding would be allocated based on levels of deprivation and population, instead of making areas compete for investment as it has in previous years.

The DfT says Leicester, the Isle of Wight, Torbay, Southend, Cambridgeshire and Peterborough are set to receive ⁘unprecedented⁘ levels of funding.

In urban areas, some of the biggest allocations are being given to combined authorities representing South Yorkshire and the Liverpool City Region.

In total, there will be £712m for local authorities to improve services, alongside a further £243m for bus operators.

About 3.4 million people in England travel regularly by bus, making it the most commonly used mode of public transport.

Local authorities in all English regions will be able to introduce new bus routes, make services more frequent and protect crucial routes, the DfT says.

It added the money will allow more urban areas to maintain high levels of service. Meanwhile, rural communities and small towns will be able to offer more services.
