Curtis Pritchard's widely-panned cameo on Hollyoaks  with his brother AJ has re-emerged after the ballroom dancer-turned-reality star's return to Love Island: All Stars was announced on Tuesday.

The series five star, 28, is among those confirmed to be heading to the  South Africa  villa next week when Love Island: All Stars returns to screens.

In 2021, he and his brother played twins Marco and Jacob in Hollyoaks; but their scenes soon went viral due to their 'wooden' acting.

Other soap stars - such as former EastEnders  regular Michael Greco and Hollyoaks' own Parry Glasspool - hit out at the Pritchards and slammed casting directors for hiring them, when there were trained actors looking for roles. 

Gerard McCarthy, 43 – who is best known for playing Hollyoaks' Kris Fisher for four years – penned: 'The next time a producer/casting director says the words "but they have a big social media following"…. Just point them in the direction of this absolute car crash!'

Michael responded: 'I think people can watch this and learn so much from it. How "not" to act. Shocking.'

Emmerdale fans were left scratching their heads after recognising the new character, Dr Todd. The medic, who made her debut in a dramatic A⁘E scene with Jacob Gallagher (played by Joe Warren Plant ), is portrayed by actress Caroline Harker.

Fans quickly realised they'd seen her before, as she was a key figure in the crime drama 'Touch of Frost', where she played Hazel from 1992 to 2010. One fan took to Reddit to ask others if they recognised her, writing: ⁘Who played the white haired Dr Todd in tonight's episode? I'm sure I've seen her in something before.⁘

Another fan chimed in, revealing that she recently appeared in 'Joan' as Ms Taylor Brown, a posh lady who was tricked into having a valuable painting stolen from her.

However, her most notable role to date has been in the BBC drama House of Cards, where her performance as Mattie earned her a BAFTA nomination. With both parents in the acting industry, it seems Caroline was destined for the screen.

Hosted by comedian Joel Dommett, the series sees a panel and those at home guess the secret identity of the anonymous celebrity singers, all wearing elaborate costumes.

The second unmaskd of the night saw.culinary legend Dame Prue Leith unmasked a Pegasus. Talking about her time on the show, Dame Prue said: ⁘I have say this is the most amazing experience. I've never sung a note. I'm tone deaf. I have been having lessons and I've got slowly able to at least make a noise.⁘

Host Joel Dommett and series detectives Maya Jama, Jonathan Ross, Davina McCall and Mo Gilligan were joined by actress and one of TV⁘s favourite detectives Vicky McClure.

The first unmasking saw Spag Bol unmasked as broadcaster and journalist Kate Garraway. Talking about her time on the show Kate said, ⁘I can't sing and I kept telling them (the production team) that and they said it doesn't matter.⁘

Kate added: ⁘Just to have an incredible chance to come out dressed as spaghetti and waddle around trying to sing. It's been so much fun and everybody's been great.⁘

Heavy snow and freezing rain have brought widespread disruption across the U.K. with several major airports forced to suspend flights and many roads in the north of England unnavigable

With the weather set to stay inclement on Sunday, there are concerns that many rural communities could be cut off with up to 40 centimeters (15 inches) of snow on ground above 300 meters (985 feet).

The National Grid, which oversees the country's electricity network, said it had been working to restore power after outages across the country. The company's live map shows power cuts in Birmingham in central England, Bristol in the west and Cardiff in Wales.

Many sporting events have already been postponed, but the heavyweight Premier League fixture between Liverpool and Manchester United is still on, though there will be another inspection later.

Liverpool's John Lennon Airport and Manchester Airport had to close runways and divert flights, Birmingham Airport also suspended operations for several hours overnight but said it was on schedule for "business as usual" on Sunday.

The road network was heavily impacted too, on what would have been a very busy day with many families returning home from the Christmas and New Year break and students heading back to universities.

On the railways, many services were canceled with National Rail warning of disruption continuing into the working week.

Britain's main weather forecaster, the Met Office, has forecast the sleet and snow will continue to push north on Sunday and be heaviest in northern England and into southern Scotland. After experiencing freezing rain for a time, the south will turn milder.
